Since its
inception in 2005, the Green Tree Community Health Foundation
has invested $3.5 million into the social and health care service
infrastructure of its community. These investments helped improve
the quality of life for nearly 15,000 people.
The Foundation
budgets four percent of its investable assets (on a rolling three-year
average) for grant making. In addition, it uses 100 percent of
all donated funds to increase its grant making abilities.
Donors can
specifiy an area of interest (for example, frail elderly, children
and families, maternal health, indigent care, teen pregnancy,
obesity prevention) for their dollars to go to work, or can specify
a program of the foundation, such as the scholarship program,
or the parenting program.
